Prepare For Baby Workshops

During Pregnancy there are many classes and courses to help you prepare for the birth but not what to do with the baby when you get it home!

Lucinda’s Prepare for Baby Workshop not only covers what you need and where to get it but also gives you realistic expectations of the early days, weeks and months with a new baby (or more if you’re a proud parent of multiples) and how to survive them!

As an experienced high profile international Maternity Nurse with a background of Psychology and Child Development there really isn’t anything Lucinda doesn’t know about babies and she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with parents to be.

Although covering some very important topics Lucinda likes the workshops to be fun and relaxed, no question is a stupid question (and the dads always ask the best questions!) Lucinda has no agenda or preference in how you raise your baby but she does believe in informed choice so will teach you:

• Every feeding method including how, when and how much to feed a baby,

• How to wash and sterilise bottles and breastfeeding equipment,

• How to bath a baby,

• How to swaddle,

• How to change a nappy and dress a baby in the most effective way,

• The best winding techniques to avoid the dreaded colic!

• How to gently start a gentle feeding and sleeping routine.

Lucinda will also cover the emotional rollercoaster that new parents face and how to manage the changes in your relationship once your baby is here. You get to ask Lucinda as many questions as you need to during your time. Due to Covid-19 Lucinda is able to do these workshops remotely although in person with a group of parents to be is usually the most fun (and the dads/birthing partners can have a drink!) The workshops generally last about 3 hours and cost £100 per couple.
